The Lutzie 43 Foundation, in partnership with Kia Motors, Kia of LaGrange and Kia of Auburn, hosted the third annual Lutzie 43 Golf Invitational at Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, AL on May 10, 2018.

We were joined by celebrity guests Gus Malzahn, John Brenkus and Kirk Herbstreit at the event, as well as supporters like Tim Hudson, Allen Greene and Katie Meier.

Participating golf foursome teams competed in an 18-hole scramble style golf tournament, where each team played one hole of golf with Coach Malzahn and John Brenkus. Kirk Herbstreit joined us to lead a Fireside Q&A with Coach Malzahn in the evening, where the two candidly asked and answered questions about work, sports and life.

Our annual Lutzie 43 Golf Invitational is always a special event for us. We use this time to celebrate what we’ve accomplished as a foundation with the people who have supported us along the way. The main way we celebrate this is by awarding our PFL (Prepared for Life) character-based Scholarship to students at the event. Read more about our scholarship and the 2018 recipients in this blog.
