43 Key Seconds on the Roads: Boyd Brothers Transportation

April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month and as part of our 43 Key Seconds Initiative and growing relationship with the trucking industry, Boyd Brothers Transportation (Boyd Bros.) has committed to the cause of raising awareness to ensure our drivers have a clear head, clear hands, clear eyes, and click their seatbelt before turning the key. Boyd Bros. Transportation, headquartered in Clayton, Alabama, is a flatbed truckload carrier.

President of Boyd Bros. Transportation, Andrew Houser, made this statement on why they believe in the mission of the Lutzie 43 Foundation: “For over 65 years, Boyd Bros. Transportation has called Alabama our home.  Our mission to show kindness and operate with the highest level of integrity mirrors the way Philip Lutzenkirchen lived his life.  The Lutzie 43 Foundation honors Philip’s memory by promoting awareness to end distracted and impaired driving.  Our employees make their living over the road and many have seen first-hand the devastating consequences of distracted or impaired driving. Boyd Bros. is proud to announce a very special truck that is about to hit the road!  A new Kenworth T680 will feature a Lutzie 43 Foundation complete vehicle wrap.  This truck will travel in excess of 100k miles per year across the country.  This eye-catching truck will serve as a mobile billboard to spread the word that “ taking 43 Key Seconds” can save your life and the lives of others.  Countless drivers and passengers will see the graphic of Philip pointing his finger to Heaven as this very special Kenworth passes their car window.  It is our hope this truck and the 43 Key Seconds message will save lives in the years to come.”

Be on the lookout for the Lutzie 43 Foundation wrapped Boyd Bros. truck this spring as we work to make 43 Key Seconds the first nationally-recognized symbol for distracted and impaired driving.
