Philip Lutzenkirchen was a beloved son, fierce friend and valued leader on and off the football field who made everyone around him better. He died in a single-vehicle, rollover, preventable crash on June 29, 2014. He was 23.
His family built the Lutzie 43 Foundation around one conviction: crashes like the one that killed Philip don’t have to happen. 43 was Philip’s number at Auburn. It’s now a reminder — 43 Key Seconds is all it takes to prevent another roadway death.
The 43 Key Seconds safe driving initiative doesn’t raise awareness. It targets behavior change — in workforces, schools and communities across the Southeast, and beyond. A partnership puts your name on programs that do exactly that.
