Join us for the seventh annual Road Race!
We are excited to host the seventh Road Race on August 7. Road Race is a special event to the Lutzie 43 Foundation as it was the first event held after Philip’s passing. We’ve been able to make this event even more special by hosting it at Lassiter High School in Philip’s hometown of Marietta, Georgia. Since Philip’s passing in 2014 Lassiter has memorialized his name by titling the football field Lutzie 43 Field.
We are looking forward to having runners join us virtually and on-site at Lassiter High School!
It’s time to register for this year’s Road Race! This event allows our biggest supporters the opportunity to get outside and run while remembering Philip and his legacy.
Last year’s Road Race, like many other things in 2020, was much different than usual as it was an all virtual race. While we missed running with everyone on-site at Lassiter High School, we saw great success and participation from runners across the country!
In addition to our virtual runner option, we will offer on-site running again this year! We will all gather at Lassiter High School’s Lutzie 43 field and run the 5k together. There will be chip timing for all on-site runners.
Registration is currently open and offering an early bird discount. You can register now through July 4 for a discounted fee, adults are $30 and students (22 and under) are $21. This fee included a Road Race t-shirt and shipping for those who are running virtually. Registration will close for online on-site runners Wednesday, August 4 and will stay open for virtual runners until the day of. However, on-site runners also have the option to register the day off at the race.
We are proud to host an event that brings the community together while raising money for the Lutzie 43 Foundation and our mission of ending distracted and impaired driving. Through your support, we are furthering our message of inspiring change and reminding people to Live like Lutz, Love like Lutz and Learn from Lutz.
