Lutzie 43 Foundation 2022 Board of Director News

The Lutzie 43 Foundation is thrilled to welcome two new additions to the 2022 Board of Directors, Amy Rowan and Scott Simpson.

Amy Rowan, Philip’s oldest sister, is the Asset Manager for Perennial Properties, an Atlanta-based mixed-use commercial development firm specializing in high-end urban apartment projects with street-level retail. She has served as a member of numerous neighborhood civic association boards throughout Atlanta during her time with the company. A University of Georgia graduate, she now resides in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, with her husband Bobby and three children, Ruthie, Maddie and Cape.

Scott Simpson is a construction Project Manager for Brasfield & Gorrie, primarily focused on hospitals and healthcare. Scott is a childhood friend of Philip’s, and they were roommates for most of their time at Auburn University. Scott now lives in Chamblee, Georgia, with his wife, Mallory. Scott has contributed to the Lutzie 43 Foundation tremendously since the start of the foundation in 2014 and will continue to serve the foundation as Board of Directors committee  lead on the annual Lutzie 43 Road Race held on the first Saturday in August.

The foundation also appointed Brittany Link as lead of the NextGen Board, made up of young philanthropic professionals with a passion for sharing Philip’s legacy. Brittany has been a part of the NextGen Board since its inception and who will now lead the group and co-lead the annual Lutzie 43 Road Race event with Scott Simpson. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and works in human resources for a restaurant management company. Brittany grew up with Philip and the Lutzenkirchen family. The Lutzie 43 Foundation and the Lutzie 43 Road Race hold a special place in Brittany’s heart.
