ABOUT THE LUTZIE 43 FOUNDATION:
The Lutzie 43 Foundation prevents crashes by changing driver behavior. Founded in 2014 and based in Marietta, Georgia, the foundation honors Philip Lutzenkirchen, a son, friend, teammate and Auburn University football player who wore No. 43. Philip was 23 when he died in a preventable crash. Through its 43 Key Seconds safe driving initiative, the foundation teaches and reinforces four habits for every trip: Clear Head. Clear Hands. Clear Eyes. Click It. It works with schools, communities, employers and fleet organizations so drivers of all ages and stages make better decisions behind the wheel. The foundation’s motto, “Live like Lutz. Love like Lutz. Learn from Lutz.” reflects its commitment to carrying forward the character Philip lived by and the lessons of the crash that took his life.
