The first weekend of August is always a special weekend for the Lutzie 43 Foundation and this year is no different. We are excited to host our sixth annual and first all-virtual Lutzie 43 Road Race presented by Jim Ellis Kia! 

We are eager to still run together “virtually” to celebrate, honor and remember Philip, the legacy he left and how the foundation is working to prevent what happened to Philip from happening to anyone else. While we can’t all gather in Marietta, we encourage you to grab your friends, family, furry friends or neighbors and run with us where you’re at on August 1 at 8:00 a.m. for this year’s race. 

If you have run with us virtually before, please join us again this year and when you register, let us know where you will be running from! And be on the lookout, we’ll have some cool surprises for those who follow along on social media, that way everyone feels like we are all running together. Tag us (@Lutzie43) and use the hashtag #LutzieRoadRace on your posts to be featured on the foundation’s social media. 

Once you start your run, track every mile. Stop and take a selfie and use our mile marker face filters on Instagram to show us when you have hit a mile, two miles and step across your virtual finish line! Additionally, there will be a Road Race playlist for you to listen to while you run! 

We hope that you will register to run with us! Early bird registration ends July 4 at midnight.

Your registration costs will cover the cost of your official race shirt and shipping. Don’t forget to wear it while you run. 

Proceeds for this year’s Road Race go towards our PFL (Prepared for Life) $4,300 Scholarship and our mission to end distracted and impaired driving accidents. Because of your participation in last year’s Road Race, we were able to award 15 2020 PFL Scholarships. We hope to increase that number next year!
